To strengthen scooter safety awareness and reduce the risk of traffic accidents, studies have shown that those who complete riding training are less likely to violate traffic rules or be involved in accidents. In 2025 (Year 114), the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has expanded the Scooter Riding Training Subsidy Program. Individuals who complete scooter riding training and obtain a license by November 30, 2025, are eligible for a NT$1,300 subsidy. A total of 45,000 spots are available, and anyone who meets the qualifications for a scooter license may apply.
