Due to the intense and sudden heavy rainfall today, a large amount of rainwater accumulated within a short period of time, placing a significant burden on the campus drainage system. As a result, localized flooding and extremely slippery conditions have occurred on certain roads within the campus.

To ensure everyone’s safety, please observe the following traffic safety precautions when entering or leaving the campus until the accumulated water has completely receded.

1. Traffic Safety Measures

🐢⬇️Reduce Your Speed
The campus speed limit has been temporarily reduced to 30 km/h or below. Do not accelerate through flooded areas, as this may cause hydroplaning and result in loss of vehicle control.

❌🛑Avoid Sudden Braking
Wet roads significantly reduce tire traction. When passing over manhole covers, road markings, or flooded sections, avoid applying the brakes abruptly. Sudden braking—especially with a motorcycle’s rear brake—can easily cause wheel lock-up, skidding, and accidents.

🚗↔️🛵Maintain a Safe Following Distance
Rainy weather reduces visibility and increases braking distance. Please maintain at least twice the normal following distance from the vehicle ahead.

🔦💡Turn On Your Headlights
Whether during the day or at night, please switch on your headlights or fog lights while driving to improve vehicle visibility and ensure the safety of both yourself and oncoming traffic.

2. Flood-Prone and Hazardous Areas on Campus
(Please proceed with caution or take alternative routes)

Sections of Ren-Ai Road and Xuefu Road are located in relatively low-lying areas and are currently experiencing localized flooding. Fallen leaves washed by rainwater may clog drainage inlets, and road surfaces may be particularly slippery. Please exercise extra caution when traveling through these areas.

3. Recommended Clothing and Equipment

🟡🦺Choose Appropriate Rain Gear
Motorcyclists are advised to wear brightly colored raincoats (such as yellow or fluorescent colors) to improve visibility. Please also ensure that raincoat hems do not cover rear lights or become entangled in vehicle wheels.

🚫☂️Do Not Ride One-Handed
Riding a motorcycle or bicycle while holding an umbrella is strictly prohibited.

🚨Roads become slippery during rainy weather. Safety is the only way home🌸
