1. Title: Show Us Your English Resume

2. Objective: To increase the chance for students to practice their English outside of the classroom, to enhance their writing skills, and to increase their future employability and competitiveness in the work field through their participation of this English resume writing contest.

3. Qualifications of Participation:
Group A: NPUST overseas Chinese students, international students, English majors from Department of Modern Languages.
Group B: All the other NPUST students (except those who have dual nationality).

4. Date and Time:
Submission Deadline: Friday, November 22nd
Result Announcement: It shall be announced on Monday, November 25th on the school website’s latest news. Award winners will also be notified via email.

5. Details:

How to Submit: Within the deadline, send your resume and personal contact information (including your full Chinese/English name, student ID, department, email address, cell phone number) to the Language Center at yangtp@mail.npust.edu.tw. Title your email as “Show Us
Your English Resume – Group A/B: Name (Student ID)”. Please note that only one submission per person is allowed.

6. Judging Criteria:Criteria for Selection
(1) Content (You should at least include personal contact information,
education and work experience sections. The advertisement of your job
target must also be included in the file.) 80%
(2) Overall format and layout 20%

7. Prizes and Rewards:
First Place: Gift voucher worth NT$2,000
First Runner-up: Gift voucher worth NT$1,500
Second Runner-up: Gift voucher worth NT$1,000
Merit Award: Gift voucher worth NT$500

Note:
A contestant from both Group A and B will be chosen for each prize above. Each of the winners will also receive an award certificate.


8. Submission Guidelines:
(1) Format: All resumes (maximum 2 pages) must be submitted via email as attachments in Word or PDF format. The advertisement of your job target must also be included in the file.
(2) If there are cases of plagiarism, copyright infringement, violation of contest rules or any other laws, the judging panel reserves the right to remove the participants’ rights to participate or claim prizes, and ask the winners to return their prizes and certificates.
(3) Participating contestants have to agree to any form of publications or exhibitions of their award-winning submissions by the organizer.
(4) The winners should report to the Language Center within one week after the result is announced to claim their awards with their student ID cards. Failure to comply will be taken as withdrawal from the contest. If the identifications provided by the winners do
not match the information provided upon registration, the organizer will have to request the winners to provide relevant verification documents; otherwise the organizer will have to revoke the winner’s right to the prize.
(5) Previous award-winning works will not be accepted.
(6) The organizer withholds the right to modify the above rules and guidelines.
