Tobacco Hazards Prevention

2.Electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products(HTP)producesecond- hand and third-hand smoke, and create harmful substances which remain in the environment for at least 6 months. Not only affecting the brain, these products also increase the risk of asthma,bronchitis, heart disease and other diseases which may lead to serious health hazards, such as death, seizures, or comas.
3.There is a campus-wide prohibition of smoking indoors. Outdoor smoking is only permitted in the 4 ‘on-campus smoking areas’. Violators who are caught with photographic evidence may be fined up to NT$10,000.
4.The four smoking areas on campus include the car parking lot at the rear entrance of the Engineering Building, the scooter parking lot on the back side of the Management Building, the scooter parking lot on the back side of the Renchai Dormitory, and the small grove on the north side of the Administration Building.
